KING WILLIAM T.E.A. PARTY
The Next King William T.E.A. Party Meetings:
May 11, 2023

In view of the many controversies surrounding the county’s 2021 & 2022 budget and other factors, KWTP is exploring solutions for reigning in the creeping growth and expanding cost of government. We hope the Board will prove up to the Task.

Brief updates on local, state and national issues. Come early if possible and see another of the stirring and inspiring videos we've found. The Meetings starts at 6:30PM - so come on in and have a seat. They begin promptly at 6:30 PM and you'll be out by 7:30 PM.
**********************************************************
KWTP continues to take the lead with credible information on a variety of hot-button issues at local, state and national levels.

Wharton's Olivia Mitchell and Leora Friedberg of the University of Virginia discuss the $4.4 trillion public sector pension shortfall.

Not Enough time, Not Enough Money

Sanitation workers, firefighters, teachers and other state and local government employees have performed their duties in the public sector for decades with the understanding that their often lackluster salaries were propped up by excellent benefits, including an ironclad pension. But Moody’s Investors Service recently estimated that public pensions are underfunded by $4.4 trillion. That amount, which is equivalent to the economy of Germany, accounts for one-fifth of national debt. It’s a significant concern for public employees who were banking on a fully funded retirement to get them through their golden years.

Welcome to the King Willam Tea Party Website
"2022 - Past Year"
Page.

******************************************************************

Below are the Events we have had and the ones we have in the works. We want to keep the citizens of
King William County informed of issues on a local, state and national level.

The King William TEA Party is an independent political movement loosely aligned with other local, state and
national TEA Parties. We are a grass roots movement who take our name from a historical act of defiance against
the King of England when Americans thought they were "Taxed Enough Already".

We believe in a return to sound fiscal policy at the federal, state and county level. We believe in Federalism and
the limits of federal power that our founders intended.

The King William Tea Party does not condone nor will it tolerate racism, sexism, or religious intolerance or bigotry
in any form within the ranks of its membership or at any of its sanctioned events.  Such beliefs, attitudes, and
activities are contrary to the basic rights of all humankind as outlined in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and
Declaration of Independence.

Our goal is for this site to keep you informed of political events, news, and issues that are important to you, the
citizens of King William County Virginia.

Our meetings begin promptly at 6:30 PM with Locations to be Announced.

**********************************************************************

Welcome Visitor !
Are you here to learn what KWTP has EXPOSED ?

King William T.E.A. Party ( Taxed Enough Already ) has earned a well-deserved reputation as the “only conservative voice in King William.

Over our brave history of eleven years we have exposed numerous examples of both county government and school personnel either misleading or outright lying.

This has come at a serious price of official, cowardly retaliation to some of our supporters.

The most recent (and well documented) incident was exposed in the paid ad we ran in the COUNTRY COURIER's June 24th issue.

Presenting official county records for land assessment vs. actual sales, it exposed without a doubt the County Administrator's misleading public assertion that “land values have remained level.”

Why is this important? Because it showed how the scandalous Land Use Tax Exemption Program (special tax breaks for millionaire “farmers”) and shifting the tax burden to homeowners and businesses has to be covered up by promoting false information.

The ad – reproduced on our web page and Facebook – shows the rising land values from 2015 to 2019 but most recent land sales were well above assessed (and taxed) values.

But, hiding behind cover of the County Administrator's false statement, the Board of Supervisors quietly passed on the opportunity this year to rein in the sweetheart deal their millionaire supporters and benefactors have been getting for the last six years.

Conveniently by law, this tax-shifting onto the backs of regular folks can't be changed until the next round of reassessments; years from now.

Sadly, the two local area newspapers haven't found the need to report this, appearing to be content with just acting as a “stenographer” for the county's official propaganda. No balance allowed from opposing views in their “news” items on county statements and BOS proceedings.

Now, recognizing that most people get their news on social media more than never before, KWTP has launched a concerted effort to support this trend to help get the word out.

Very often, our website (thanks to webmaster Paul) is recognized as one of the best sources for real KW news and information, as is our FACEBOOK page ( thanks Fred ) with hundreds of LIKES.

Unless and until the PC censors shut this down, we will continue to investigate, validate and report what we've found.

Now, if you're still reading, you need to consider the 5/10/85% Rule. 5% of Americans are well informed, 10% somewhat informed and the remaining 85% are... shall we charitably say CLUELESS....

We urge you to be among the active and involved 5 to 10 % citizenry.

Come back regularly to our WEB and FACEBOOK pages. After all, it's your wallet their picking and your family their mocking that the millionaires and their lackeys are making fun of.

Why The Vaccines Don't Work
American Thinker - January 20, 2022 - Why The Vaccines Don't Work - By James Stansbury

A recent article introduced the term "negative efficacy" regarding COVID vaccines and implied that this reaction explains
why more vaccinated than unvaccinated people are getting sick with COVID.

It [negative efficacy] doesn't mean the protection wears off (like we were told). It means the OPPOSITE of what you were told: it means the vaccines helps the virus to infect you (by suppressing your immune system, probably permanently each time we are injected according to Dr. Ryan Cole).

In short, we've been lied to about the vaccine. It is protecting you less and less over time. While you may get a benefit for earlier variants, the benefit for other variants (and likely other diseases) is going to be negative. In short, you are getting a short term benefit against Delta, but at the expense of a degradation of your overall immunity to everything else.

Sweden is there because of its notoriously minimal lockdowns followed by praise for its success in achieving natural herd immunity well before any other Western country. India was added because it alone appears to have tamed COVID from day one by using common, inexpensive therapeutics in its early outpatient protocols (notably hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin) and much less reliance on vaccines. Except for one surge in hospitalizations and deaths due to the emergence of the delta variant, India has experienced far fewer total deaths relative to its population.

January 13, 2022 - Booster Bust: Medical Establishment Changes Its Mind - By Vasko Kohlmayer

There is a tectonic shift underway in the medico-scientific establishment: they are starting to walk back boosters.

The first indication of this dramatic change of attitude came from the United Kingdom last week.

On January 7, Reuters ran a wire titled UK Says 4th COVID Jabs Not Needed for Now As Booster Effect Lasts. That piece featured the following sentence in its opening paragraph: “there is no need for now for people to have a fourth shot, British health officials said on Friday.”

Jason Miyares — Virginia’s ‘new sheriff’ — has had a busy first week. He’s not done.
By Jane Harper - The Virginian-Pilot | Jan 21, 2022 at 10:06 AM

On the campaign trail, Jason Miyares promised swift change if elected Virginia’s attorney general. A week into the job, he’s announced several significant changes ― opening an investigation of the state’s parole board, pulling Virginia from a multi-state climate lawsuit and firing more than two dozen employees.

The Virginia Beach Republican and former state delegate also managed to garner national media attention, including an interview Monday with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, in which he declared “there’s a New Sheriff in town.”

One Vote Short in Stopping CMS Vax Mandate
As AAPS predicted last Friday, the Supreme Court just blocked the Biden employer vaccine mandate (by a vote of 6-3), while allowing the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) vaccine mandate to be enforced by a vote of 5-4.m

AAPS - Association of American Physicians and Surgeons - Jan 13, 2022

The joint decisions make no mention anywhere of the VAERS data of a million adverse effects reported after receiving the Covid vaccine, despite how our general counsel emphasized that in our amicus brief. Nor is there any mention of how the vaccine is reportedly ineffective against reducing infections from the Omicron variant, as published in the Wall Street Journal earlier this week.

There were four strong dissenters against the CMS vaccine mandate. Our side was merely one vote short of a majority. Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Kavanaugh joined the Left side of the Court to enable its 5-4 margin.

We are analyzing the decisions now to consider future actions. This reinforces the desirability of getting out of Medicare facilities if you can or, if desired, seeking an vaccine exemption as allowed by the CMS mandate.

Our Following Following Meeting is

Jan 27, 2022

The Jan 27 at 6:00

Main topics:

Local: On Thursday January 13 the Leadership Meeting (held each year )took place to determine what issues our group would place as top priorities for the New Year. Discussions relating to this determined the top 2 issues we would focus on in the coming year. Hear what decisions were made and equally important, the reasons why. Subject of course to your input as we review what was decided. Each supporter of the King William T.E.A Party brings energy and talent to the table so please join us in setting our course for 2022.

State: Our new Governor Glenn Youngkin came out of the gate signing 9 Executive Orders and 2 other Directives to hit the ground running. Obviously we are excited to see a young fresh Executive take over and begin to push the Agenda he ran on last year. A question asked however is just what do the Executive Orders mean..........and how much weight do they carry ?

Rick Ryan has taken on a review of each of these and will detail his thoughts on the key question as to their potential effectiveness. Politicians are prone to exaggerate, but all of us know we can count on Mr. Ryan to objectively get to the reality and the truth. Kudo's to Rick for bringing us an honest objective opinion.

National: The U.S Senate is taking up a discussion on possibly eliminating the Fillubuster. What is this rule that has become so controversial ? What is it's history ? Why did the Founders put this in place ? What are the consequences of ending it on our system of government ? What should we do as engaged citizens ?

Please be seated and order your meal by 6:00 PM---so as to start our meeting promptly at 6:30 PM Look forward to seeing all of you Thursday night !

Our Following Following Meeting is

Feb 10, 2022

The Feb 10 at 6:00

Topics:
Local : King William T.E.A Party has a Special Guest Speaker, Commissioner of Revenue Katrina Funkhouser. The Commissioner of Revenue will discuss the County's Tax Revenue Sources, Land Use Tax Exemptions that have been quite controversial and what to expect in the new Real Estate Assessments now in progress. How fast are tax revenues growing ? Where does the revenue come from ? What is the revenue hole created by Land Use Tax Exemptions, and the exemptions given to certain industries/occupations who pay no B.P.O.L ( Business Professional Occupation License ) Our group is appreciative of the Commissioners willingness to attend and speak on a topic that is of great interest to citizens of King William.

Local: Citizens must return to taking an active role in their local government. Most of our problems today can be directly traced to this disengagement that has crept into our society , literally turning over responsibility to elected officials to run our lives. This has not worked out well. Meet someone in King William who has decided to step up and take an active role in restoring that very citizen engagement that has been lacking. We commend and are excited to introduce this courageous person to those attending Thursday evening.

State : What is the General Assembly up to ? Has legislation conservatives favor such as Tax Reduction, Parental Choice, repeal of the hated Red Flag Laws made any substantial progress ? Let's examine some specific bills under consideration on these specific topics to size up where we stand.

National : In the interest of attendees, we are committing the bulk of time Thursday night to Local interest.

Please be seated and order your meal by 6 pm so as to start our meeting promptly at 6:30

Our Following Meeting is

Feb 24, 2022

The Feb 24 at 6:00

Main topics:

Local : We will take another look at the Power Point Presentation from our last meeting on February 10 when the K.W Commissioner of Revenue, Mrs. Funkhouser reviewed the current state of the real estate taxes and Land Use Tax Exemptions, the problems she is working through on the collection of taxes not paid in a timely manner. Of particular interest is the comparison of the real estate taxes on a example home of $200,000 and the subsequent real estate taxes on said home in King William vs. King & Queen County. Much has been made on the assessed values being used here in King William after the Board of Supervisors tossed out the re-assessment done in 2021. What has been glossed over is the REAL ESTATE TAX RATE, something our group has highlighted over the last 10 or so years.

Do you own a small business in King WIlliam County ? If so do you pay the B.P.O.L ( Business Professional Occupational License ) Tax ? Are you paying more this year than last ? If so it indicates 2021 was a great year for your small business. It was a banner year for a few other professions , but they have a TAX EXEMPTION , and even in a Banner year they pay ---NOTHING. If you own a small business here in King William County why haven't you stood up and objected to this ? Do small business owners in King William need to get together and raise objections ? Lets discuss this issue.

Local: "You are just a mouth piece for the T.E.A Party".......so said K.W School Superintendent Dr. David White to former Supervisor Dave Hansen at one of the B.O.S meetings near the end of Hansen's tenure. We have heard on a number of occasions other elected/appointed officials make similar statements. It appears that our local government leaders have a mindset that conservatives......voices do not count --or in their views should not. How is it that if you have an opposing point of view you are ostracized by public officials that are Progressives and just see government as an instrument to further their pet causes ? Why do the Progressives seem to always prevail ? Budgets , spending and taxes just go in 1 direction. What is the solution for this ?

State : The General Assembly is half way through the current session and we will take a look at where legislative proposals stand at the moment. We have several of our members who have been on top of this and will share their observations. We also have an update from State Senator Amanda Chase.....and it doesn't sound so good.

National : Is a " Red Wave" coming this fall ? If so where is the evidence that Americans are finally recognizing just how far off track the nation is, and can a change in Congress hold hope that we are turning a corner on the political carnage the Left has wrought. Past experience tells us hoping that Republicans will " save the day" ....may not be the solution. If not then what is ? Only Citizen engagement will change any of this, and we are seeing many hopeful signs that this is becoming what could be America's salvation. From angry parents showing up at rowdy school board meetings, to recalls in of all places San Francisco, to the uproar over rampant crime waves sweeping across America we lean on former President Ronald Reagans wise counsel that Americans are smart and eventually return to their governing roots. Let us pray he was correct.

The Mar 10 at 6:00

Main topics:

Local: Progress to report on the Project where we are gathering information on the K.W County Schools. The folks working on this are to be commended for their efforts in helping our group to bring to the citizens of King William the myriad of ways the Schools are spending ( some would say wasting ) our tax dollars. From stagnant to declining student counts to inflated salaries and then to the ever growing number of full time employees in the 4 schools and the Uber Delivery service, using school buses to deliver lunches during the Covid Pandemic, it seems to know no end. Hear first hand Thursday night what we have learned to this point.

Local: It appears we have a new warrior in the fight locally and she has taken on one of the Left's most progressive bastions, the local NAACP. Mrs. Jessica McLane's letter in this recent Edition of the Country Courier details a battle she begun some time ago in Hanover County Schools and has moved with her & her family to King William. She is indeed a keen intellect and has the heart of a Lion. Her letter belongs in the Letter to the Editors Hall of Fame in my opinion along with our group Secretary's letter scored by Robert Bruce a.k.a "Sarge". Thank you both for the brilliant effort .

State: The General Assembly session coming to a close has a variety of opinions on what transpired this year...........and none of them are very flattering. Symbolic measures, something that politicians are always patting themselves on the back over are there , but tangible progress on CUTTING VIRGINIAS INCOME TAXES, OR OPENING UP PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO REAL CHOICE--PARENTAL CONTROL have gone nowhere. Just this past week Iowa was the latest State to actually cut their state income tax rates, joining some 11 other states that have done the same. A discussion as to why Virginia is lagging in these vitally important areas is in order. Virginians can look forward to perhaps a $300, 1- time Tax Rebate, what appears to be politician's empty gesture.........throw a few bucks at them to shut them up . Meanwhile Virginia is taking in some 15.5 BILLION in revenue above and beyond what was projected. Their plans for this glorious bounty ? Of course they will spend it, and neither political party has stepped up and boldly proclaimed " GIVE IT BACK TO THE PEOPLE IT HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM " Once again Republicans have failed to LEAD.

National: It is coming to light how the Governments response to the Covid pandemic was set into motion years ago by global elitists who have decided that National Sovereignty must be sacrificed to facilitate the Great Reset. Learn how "simulations " were run years ago to craft what the global elitists have in mind. The level of cooperation between big business and government is laid bare in this fabulous explanation provided in Imprimus latest issue. Two terms highlight what their goals are:------- " stakeholder capitalism vs. neoliberalism"
In other words"neoliberliasm" refers to the free enterprise system. In opposing that system, "stakeholder capitalism "entails corporate cooperation with the state and vastly increased government intervention in the economy" .
Examples abound as to what actually occurred at both the state & national level over the last two years. One example was how here in Virginia ABC stores were deemed "essential" while Joes Hardware store was forced to close their doors ? Big box retailers stayed open while across the street Mary's Bar n Grill were forced BY GOVERNMENT. out of business..........as if the Virus knew the difference.

Please note that Ripleys has informed us they want to close at 7:30 pm---hence it is vital we stay on schedule. Please have your dinner ordered at 6 pm so that we can start our meeting promptly at 6:30. Support Ripleys---who has supported our group---by ordering a meal. They do not charge us rent or a fee for use of their room. Ordering a meal is our way of saying THANK YOU.
